Bottled up inside
Are the words I never said,
The feelings that I hide
The lines you never read.

You can see it in my eyes,
The pain that passes by
Read it on my face
The wall it built inside
Trapped are the lies
Of the past I can’t replace

With memories that linger----
Won’t seem to go away.
Why can’t I be happier?
To be able to believe.

Don’t take my love for granted,
For soon it will be gone—
All you ever wanted
Of the love you thought you have won.

The hurt I’m feeling now
Will disappear overnight
Behind my walls that cover me.

Many have tried to climb that wall
But have failed continuously
No more wishing for the past
I wish someway, somehow,
Someone will be able to
Climb the wall and free me.

I was angry, depressed, and felt alone at the time. I couldn't find any other way of saying what I felt at the time. I know it probably sounds emo.

Yeah, you can get your stuff published into a book. You win awards and people can see you stuff on-line. It's also protected so no one can use your work either. It's pretty cool lol.
